Missed call follow-up

When a call ends too soon, the follow-up is already written.

Some callers hang up, leave a message, or get stuck before a booking goes through. Tactly emails them a short recap with your booking link if they gave an email, and adds every one of those calls to your call-back list. You approve each email first.

Call at 7:15 pm, hung up before bookingLuis asked about an estimate for a new fence in his back yard.

From: Cedar Lane Fencing

Hi Luis,

Thanks for calling Cedar Lane Fencing tonight about a new fence. We are sorry the call ended before we could set up your estimate.

What does Missed Call Follow-up do?

After a call Tactly could not finish, because the caller hung up early, left a message or a booking failed, it does two things. If the caller gave an email, it writes a short recap with your booking link and asks you before sending it. And it puts the call on your call-back list with a one-tap call button and a suggested opening line. It does not send text messages.

What it gets back for you

Unfinished calls turn into a next step.

The caller gets your booking link

Someone who hung up before booking, and gave Tactly their email, gets a short note about their call and a link to pick a time themselves.

You know exactly who to ring

Each unfinished call is added to your call-back list. One tap starts the call.

You know what to say

Every call on the list comes with a suggested opening line, so you can pick up the conversation where the caller left it.

You approve the email first

Out of the box, the recap waits for you. Nothing reaches the caller until you send it, unless you switch to automatic.

How it works

Three steps, and you only do the first one once.

  1. Switch it on

In your Tactly dashboard, confirm the name your emails go out under and the address replies should come to. Nothing else to connect.

  2. A call ends early

The caller hangs up before the end, leaves a message, or a booking does not go through.

  3. Follow up your way

Approve the recap with your booking link if they left an email, and work through your call-back list when you have a minute.

Your call-back list

One list of the calls worth returning.

A call lands on the list when:

  • The caller hung up before Tactly could finish.
  • The caller left a message.
  • The caller tried to book and the booking failed.

You are in charge

You approve before anything is sent.

Tactly writes the recap. You decide if it goes.

  • Ask me first is on from day one. Each recap arrives as an approval email and goes out only when you approve it.
  • Prefer not to check each one? Switch to Send automatically.
  • Pick a monthly AI credit cap. If it is reached, the follow-ups pause and Tactly lets you know.
  • The run log lists each follow-up and what it cost.

What it costs

Priced per email in AI credits, shown before you turn it on. The credits come from your account's existing AI credit balance, and the cost per email is on the agent's card before you switch it on.

Straight talk

What it will not do.

Knowing the limits is how you set it up well.

  • It does not text the caller. Follow-ups are by email, and the rest is your call-back list.
  • It only emails callers who gave an email address during the call.
  • It follows up on calls Tactly answered, not on calls to other phones.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Which calls get a follow-up?

Calls Tactly could not finish: the caller hung up early, left a message, or a booking failed. Each one is added to your call-back list, and callers who gave an email can also get a recap with your booking link.

Does the caller get a text message?

No. Missed Call Follow-up sends email only. Your call-back list covers everyone else.

Who is the email from?

Your business name, sent from Tactly's sending address. If the caller writes back, the reply goes to the address you chose when you switched it on.

Will it send emails without me?

Only if you choose Send automatically. It starts on Ask me first, so every recap waits for your approval.

What does it cost?

Priced per email in AI credits, shown before you turn it on. You set a monthly cap, and the run log shows what each follow-up cost.

How do I turn it on?

Log in to your Tactly dashboard and open Agents. One step: confirm your sender name and reply-to email.

Already a Tactly customer?

Log in, open Agents, and switch on Missed Call Follow-up. The cost per email is on the card before you start.
