- CallerYes, please.
- Booked: Thursday 3:30, cleaning

- CallerSure, that helps.
- Confirmation texted to the caller's number
How does caller texting work?
Caller texting is coming soon. Once you turn it on, Tactly offers during the call to text the caller their booking confirmation, your address or the details they asked for, plus one link you choose in your dashboard. It sends nothing until the caller says yes, texts only the number they are calling from and sends at most two texts a call. It is an optional add-on at $79 once plus $10 a month.
It asks the caller first
Tactly offers the text and waits for a yes. A caller who says no gets the details by voice, the way every call works today.
Fewer no-shows, fewer repeat calls
A booking in writing is easier to remember than one said out loud, and nobody has to ring back to ask what time it was.
Your address and your link, in their pocket
Tactly can add the one link you set in your dashboard, such as your booking page. A caller who saved your text calls you again, not the next business on their list.
Registered under your business name
Phone carriers require every business that texts to register once. You fill in your details in your dashboard and we file it for you. Carriers usually approve it within a few business days.
Straight talk
What it will not do.
Knowing the limits is how you set it up well.
- Coming soon. Until it launches, Tactly gives callers their details by voice and no texts go to callers.
- It only texts a caller who said yes, and only at the number they are calling from.
- At most two texts a call, each naming your business and saying to reply STOP to opt out. It sends no ads or promotions.
- US numbers only. A number outside the US takes calls only.
FAQ
Questions, answered
When will caller texting be available?
Caller texting is coming soon. When it launches, each business turns it on from its dashboard, and it starts sending once the carriers approve that business's registration, which usually takes a few business days.
How much does caller texting cost?
It is an optional add-on at $79 once plus $10 a month. That covers registering your business with the phone carriers and the carriers' monthly fee. You can cancel any time; texting stops and Tactly keeps answering your calls.
Why does my business have to register to text callers?
US phone carriers require every business that sends texts to register under its own name, so the people receiving them know who is texting. You enter your business details in your dashboard and we file the registration for you.
Will callers get texts they did not ask for?
No. Tactly asks first and only texts after a yes, only to the number the caller is calling from, at most twice per call. Every text names your business and says to reply STOP to opt out.
